Most ERP projects stall six months after go-live. The platform stops moving, workarounds pile up and the company no longer trusts the system it paid for.
I see the same thing happening with AI. Tools get bought, a few people try them out, and six months later nobody works any differently.
I’ve spent 25 years preventing that, as an ERP consultant, implementation lead and founder of my own business unit, working with NetSuite, Exact Online, Exact Globe, Exact Synergy, Odoo and OroCommerce, among others. With every new platform I ask the same question: does this change how the business works, or does it just add another screen?
That combination counts for AI too. AI specialists rarely know your order flow. ERP people rarely connect AI to your data. To get AI beyond the chat window you need both, plus the integration work itself.

A custom change only comes up after we’ve looked at the package’s standard features. Often the process is easier to change than the software. That means a faster go-live, lower costs and less technical debt at every upgrade.
Document first, then build
I record what will be built in a functional design, and we approve it together before any configuration or code is added. That way you discover the decisions you still had to make before they cost money.
You hear upfront what the package can’t do
I tell you when something doesn’t fit, even if that means another package or another approach is better. A demo that hides the gaps helps nobody.
