NetSuite and SuiteCommerce

ERP, e-commerce and finance on one platform. I guide SMEs through the choice, the implementation and the years after, so NetSuite keeps growing with the business.

When NetSuite fits

NetSuite fits companies that are outgrowing their accounting package or a collection of separate tools: several entities or countries, stock and logistics, a webshop that has to run on the same data, or projects and subscriptions that need to be invoiced correctly.

If your company has one entity and simple accounting, Exact Online, Odoo or another lighter package is often the more logical choice. I compare the options against your processes. I’ll tell you which package I would choose, and why.

I work for SMEs in e-commerce, wholesale, project-based businesses and services.

What I do

From choice to improvement cycle

Selection and business case

First we map your processes, then we choose a package. You get well-founded advice on NetSuite or an alternative, with a realistic estimate of investment and lead time.

Implementation

Business analysis, functional design, configuration, data migration, testing and go-live. I first record what will be built, and I only build once you’ve approved it.

SuiteCommerce and SuiteCommerce Advanced

A webshop that runs on your ERP data: stock, customer prices, customer portal and orders in one system. SuiteCommerce Advanced is my specialisation, mainly for B2B: new webshops, upgrades, extensions and customisation. Read more about SuiteCommerce Advanced.

Belgian and European rules

Peppol e-invoicing, SuiteTax, VAT and Belgian accounting rules (BE GAAP) set up correctly, so your accountant doesn’t have to fix things afterwards.

Improving after go-live

Many NetSuite accounts stay on the configuration they had at go-live. I review what goes unused, where Excel workarounds appear and what the next improvement is.

Customisation and integrations

When the standard product really falls short: SuiteScript, SuiteQL and integrations through N8N. Read more about integration.

Standard first

NetSuite lets you customise almost everything. That makes the temptation big, and every customisation costs time and money again at each upgrade.

So I first check whether the process can adapt to the standard. If customisation is still needed, I record why the standard wasn’t enough and who maintains it. The result is a faster go-live, lower total cost and less technical debt.

Sound familiar?

  • Your accounting package and your webshop don’t talk to each other, and someone types orders over by hand.
  • Your NetSuite hasn’t changed since go-live and finance is back in Excel.
  • You’re considering NetSuite and want to know whether it fits your business, or whether Exact Online, Odoo or another package would do.
  • You want a B2B webshop that shows customer prices and stock straight from your ERP. This is how I do that with SuiteCommerce Advanced.
  • You have to send e-invoices through Peppol and don’t yet know how to set that up in your ERP.

Let’s look at what this means for your situation

A first conversation is free of obligation. You’ll get an honest answer, even when that answer is a different package.
